Make a Difference Day

Coburn Free Library and Charles H. Bassett Youth Foundation invite community to “Make a Difference”

The Coburn Free Library is partnering with the Charles H. Bassett Youth Foundation and the Tioga County Rural Ministry to gather donations for Thanksgiving holiday meals for needy families.  This year’s project is a Make A Difference Day Challenge to support those in the community, and will be held until October 23.

Saturday, October 23, is recognized nationally as Make A Difference Day, a day of helping others.

For the Oct 23 project, items will be collected for Thanksgiving meals.  Items needed include instant potatoes, stuffing, canned yams, canned pumpkin, cranberries, and gravy.  The goal is to provide 200 meal baskets for families.

Items may be dropped off at the Coburn Free Library 275 Main, Owego, during open hours between now and October 23.  You may also drop items by the Charles H Bassett Youth Foundation Center at 34 1/2 Lake Street between the hours of 3p-5p.
