The mission of the Coburn Free Library is to provide educational, informational, and entertaining materials to encourage lifelong learning. Our library is located in the county seat of Tioga County, NY, in a village whose downtown has been named a National Historic District. The library is chartered to serve the village of Owego (population 3896 as of the 2010 census), but in fact serves a wide geographic area including southeastern Tioga County and Western Broome County.
The Coburn Free Library Accessibility Annex is currently under construction and nearing 95% completion! When construction has concluded, the annex will include an elevator system providing access to all floors of the historic building. There will also be ADA accessible rest room facilities. The accessible entrance will be located at the back of the building with a level walkway from the parking lot.
Coburn Free Library is located at 275 Main Street in the Village of Owego, New York. See our history and who’s who tabs for more information. Thank you for visiting the Coburn Free Library website.
