Judy Bjorkman: Ghosts of Mesopotamia

Stories about ghosts are nearly as old as the invention of writing. The 3,000 years of cuneiform literature often discussed how to recognize the kind of ghost haunting you, and how to please or get rid of those ghosts. Magic rituals, potions, spells, amulets, and professional exorcists helped in this quest. With Judy Bjorkman, we’ll read some of these ancient works and see if we can find anything useful to deal with today’s ghosts!
