Adult Winter Crafting: Embroidery 101 with B.C. Stitchers

Are you interested in learning basic embroidery? The B.C. Stitchers, the local chapter of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America (EGA), can help. Our Embroidery 101 workshop will teach you the basics:
- How to thread a needle
- How to use those funny- looking needle threaders
- How to pick out floss and fabric
- How to use an embroidery hoop
- How to find patterns to stitch
- How to master popular embroidery stitches including back stitch, stem stitch, straight stitch, rice stitch, lazy daisy and even the French Knot.
You’ll be provided with a free kit that has all the necessities along with a handout of hints and tips. At the end of the workshop, you will have the knowledge and confidence to take on other exciting embroidery projects of your own.
